There are so many ways in which we can help resellers and their customers. Here are a few scenarios:

Reducing costs whilst boosting margins.  Everyone's under pressure to reduce costs these days.  Com-Com's prices are typically 30-40% below manufacturer pricing for an equivalent service.

Keeping systems running.  The manufacturer has dropped support for your customer's server but the customer is not ready to replace the system - what can you do?  Com-Com will extend the life of the system by supporting it for as long as required.

You offer maintenance but.... no one can support everything.  If your customers have equipment that you can't support then subcontract the work to us.

Unexpected price rises.  Some manufacturers increase charges dramatically after the post-warranty period to encourage migration but the customer is again not ready to replace the system.  Com-Com offer very substantial savings on post-warranty pricing.  See the list below for a sample of the range of equipment that we currently support.  Any hardware is considered on a case-by-case basis.

Flexibility.  Manufacturers typically sell long support packs and extensions.  This results in a lot of waste as systems have support even though they are no longer in use and if customers have numerous servers then they are forever having to administer these service pack extensions.  Com-Com smooth all this out with flexible contracts that allow customers to add or remove equipment as required and have simple billing.

Outsourced support.  Do your customers lack the necessary skills in-house to administer their systems or they need extra backup in the event of sickness of holidays?  Com-Com offer a very cost-effective service giving them the operating system support (Windows, AIX, Solaris, HP/UX, VMware etc.) they need.

Server virtualization offers customers the opportunity to consolidate their sprawling server estate on to a much reduced number of servers, probably connected to a storage device.  This reduces the cost of equipment acquisition, power and cooling.  There are also many benefits in terms of system reliability and resilience.

For these reasons, many customers are seriously considering virtualizing their servers, but what does this mean for you?  If you do nothing then many of them will drift away to those who can help them.  Com-Com offer you a way to share in this market.  You can still sell them the hardware they require while Com-Com will offer you discounted rates on the licensing and implementation services that will be needed.  

A typical sales cycle will involve a meeting to sell the concept to the customer followed by a paid-for capacity plan (this involves installing monitoring software to collect data on system usage). The capacity plan provides good information on what hardware is required to replace the existing systems and to identify systems that cannot be virtualized.  A quotation can then be provided for the hardware and services.  Com-Com will assist you in all stages of the sale.
